Course.

My expectations when starting the NQ Media Makeup Course were high as it was something I was very interested in and knew I would enjoy. Now that I am 7 weeks into the course my expectations are still very high and im sure they will continue to grow as the course progresses.
My initial thoughts on James Watt College and my course was very positive the campus is very modern and clean and the people and lectures are very friendly. I enjoyed the course from the 1st day I started and as the course is progressing and I am expanding my skills and learning new things I am enjoying the course more and more everyday.
The funniest moment of college so far is lunch times with the girls in my class and the banter on the train home.
The most interesting thing I have learned in college so far is in special effects class when we learn to do cuts, bruises and scars. It amazes me how realistic it can look.
My makeup idol is Lady Gaga she has such flamboyant and diverse makeup but when she is off stage her make up is classy and and can be rather subtle.
I want to be a Makeup Artist because it is something I have worn and had a passion for from a young age, when I was a figure skater and dancer I used to love doing my makeup bright and bold. I feel that this course will give me the skills I need to enter the industry and be a sucessful Makeup Artist.

My Faveourite Make-Up Artists

One of my faveourite Makeup Artists is Liss Eldridge. She has 20 years of experience, and is one of the most highly regarded make-up artists on the international beauty and fashion circuits. Whether she’s called upon to create her signature look, best described as fresh and flawless or to work her magic for the catwalk or on editorial shoots, her understated, modern approach to beauty has made her indispensable to designers, magazine editors, art directors and celebrities alike. Through her online make-up tutorials, and her role as resident on-screen beauty expert for three seasons of Channel 4’s successful series ‘Ten Years Younger, Lisa has become one of the most recognised faces in the beauty industry, both in the UK and internationally.

Another faveourite Makeup Artist of mine is Alexis Vogel. Today's Hottest Celebrities call upon Alexis to create their unforgettable looks. She has been "The Image-Setter" for the past 25 years. Alexis has been doing makeup for television, movies, videos, print, commercials, magazines, billboards...you name it, she's done it. She has worked with countless celebrities from the top supermodels to the most famous and glamorous of actors and actresses.
